Alpaca Valley
“Alpaca Valley with a Rehabilitation Center is the first location of Feldman Ecopark, which was restored after the total destruction of the park by the Russian occupants in February-September 2022.
It is located separately from the main area of Feldman Ecopark, so it was easier to demine it because of its much smaller territory, and it was also less exposed to shelling. The territory of Alpaca Valley is 3 hectares (a security zone of 2 hectares was also created around it). All necessary security measures were taken in this area, including the construction of a bomb shelter.
Alpaca Valley was opened on June 1, 2023. Its animal collection includes alpacas and llamas, horses, ponies, petting yard animals (goats, sheep, Vietnamese pigs, etc.), and some other animals.
The Rehabilitation Center with a complex of psycho-rehabilitation programs developed by the specialists of the Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation for children and adults affected by war is a crucial part of Alpaca Valley. The focus is made on the use of rehabilitative influence of natural methods, in particular, animal-assisted therapy.
Alpaca Valley also includes Ponyland where children can ride ponies, Treat Square with delicious free lunches every weekend, Contact Yard for interacting with animals, cultural and entertainment events on weekends, etc. All activities for guests of Alpaca Valley, as well as the entrance to it, are free of charge.
Alpaca Valley is open every day except Monday, from 10. a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. You can get there by our free shuttle buses that run from Kharkiv’s Svobody Square. “
